Conservation Asia 2016 will be held at the new University Town on the campus of the National University of Singapore. At UTown, residential colleges, teaching facilities and study spaces are integrated to create a lively environment for intellectual, social and cultural interactions. UTown distinguishes the University in academic excellence and diverse student activities.
In planning and building UTown, NUS has also promoted environmentally sustainable practices. Buildings in UTown were awarded various Green Mark Gold, Gold Plus and Platinum awards by Buidling and Construction Authority of Singapore.
The UTown campus is adjacent to the main NUS campus, but is completely self-contained and includes the conference venue, accommodation, a recreation lawn, convenience stores and numerous eateries all within a 5 minute walking radius. In particular, conference attendees will be able to purchase very low-cost breakfast and dinner at two food courts, which offer a variety of cuisines for only a few Singapore dollars.
