Registration and Abstract Submission
Registrants can submit up to two abstracts in two different symposia. You should submit the abstracts in the order of priority (the first one is your most prioritized presentation). You may submit your abstract(s) for either a traditional 15 minute oral presentation or a 5 minute speed talk + a poster presentation. Speed talks will take place during a normal symposium session. The poster session(s) will occur in the late afternoons in a relaxed but stimulating environment. For Conservation Asia 2016, we will not accept poster presentations without a linked speed talk.
Some important points:
- You are required to register and pay first, after which you will receive an email with a link for abstract submission. You can submit the abstract any time after you register and before the close of abstracts. Abstracts should be formatted according to the guidelines found here.
- Review of abstracts will be done by the Scientific Committee. Acceptance will be based on scientific rigor and alignment with the conference themes or with the mandate of ATBC or SCB.
- Our goal is to maximize participation. So, if there is oversubscription for 15 minute oral presentations, the Committee may assign some presentations to the speed talk + poster sessions. Reassignment will target authors' second abstracts and those presentations deemed more suitable for a shorter oral presentation and a more relaxed poster session.
- If your primary presentation is assigned to the speed talk + poster category, you will be given the opportunity to refund your registration if you so decide. Participants who decide to do so due to the results of the abstract review would be given full refunds.
